No matter how fast you are, there's always going to be someone who's faster, at least for that day. Then he'll eventually fall to someone faster. It doesn't end! These aren't race bikes, but they perform well in the real world and are capable of rendering great thrills. By Harley standards, the FXDLS is a badass machine.

Is there any way on the S to move just the license plate to under the rear fender without moving the lights? New S owner. Pics coming soon

Mine has been relocated, leaving the signals on stalks on the fender struts.. I asked for mounting hardware for detachable stuff and the dealer said the side mount license plate had to go. I think they used ( I was charged for) the HD kit listed for a Street Bob. It's a chunk of plastic under the fender. It gets mixed reviews. If I had been thinking when I agreed, I would have had them move the signals at the same time. Folks here like the great bike gear kit for that.

There is a bracket to allow that, and its much cheaper than the GBG kit.

OK so this is how she sits right now....some vance and hines slip ons and forward controls....swapping out the gas cap and gauge tomorrow and took all the idiot stickers off the bike today to clean it up (yes HD I know that riding a motorcycle is dangerous and that gas goes in the gas tank). So far I love this bike. EXACTLY what I've been looking for.... (sorry photo was before I took off all the stickers)

How do you like those slip ons? Been wanting to add some bark to the bike but I dont want something super loud, just a bit louder than stock.

I like them a lot for that. Good growl but nothing crazy. Of course I usually ride a full helmet and listen to music so maybe they are a little louder than I realize. I like the look and have always been happy with V&H and no tuner required and relatively easy bolt on so for now it was a no brainier to me

I had planned to do the same thing, but once I bolted on the relocation kit, I realized that the plate would then be way behind the lights and I thought it would look even more odd not having a taillight near the plate. IDK... I may go to a regular taillight and amber blinkers some day but this is my current setup.

Yeah I'm leaning towards that now after looking at a ton of photos. How hard was the install? Looks like the great bike gear kit?
