I've just fitted a vrod fairing to my street bob . Still got original mini apes .I'm looking for suggestions for new bars . I will be going with black bars and would like not to have to change any cables .all suggestions welcomed

In my opinion your bars shouldn't rise above your fairing but from looking around it's obvious I'm a minority. I really like these Biltwell bars.

Previously I had the Burly 12" narrow apes w/ LA Choppers 1" risers, which flowed nicely w/ the fairing. I lakes how it looked cause the fairing is skinny and the bars weren't wide.

Now I'm going for a different look and pic is in my sig below. They are drag specialty buffalo drag bars, which tuck nicely under the fairing. With drag bars you will have to change cables cause there will be way to much slack on brake, clutch, and throttle cables.

For the apes they were stock, but drag bars I went w/ a combo from superglide and custom length brake lines

I have the 8" wild one pull back bars. Perfect for my height and arm length. Can see in my sig pic or link here to my install thread.
