more Info, Falcon Performance who sales the Hylift Johnson Lifters on ebay has told me that they get them directly from Hylift Johnson. I have read about 7 total favorable reviews on them across the web.

I just found this fascinating post that says all the big Brands are buying they're lifters from Johnson with their own specs and marking them up to sale themselves.

this is just not always true

i had those johnson hylifts on my 06. i put them in when i changed cams and then beat the crap out of them for the next 50,000 miles and they worked great.

i bought them from that power 4 you site. AMS is very solid company too.

so right, I read many post that said the S&S premium parts are actually made by Johnson. Not saying that the S&S premiums aren't better but s&s certainly has much confidence in Johnson to source parts from them. I recently have read many positive reviews of the Johnson's. Many people say they are the only manufacturer of lifters in the whole united states and they make them for most of the performance parts companies like S&S and ultima and such.

I just don't need the premiums on my stock motor and don't have cash to spend $225 on lifters. Plenty of quality parts for a good value out there when you skip the middlemen.

Default My experience

I was getting bleed-down after 10-20 mins taking at least 2-3 miles to pump back up and most of the time the motor sounded like I was getting piston slap. I replaced the lifters and put the SE adjustable lifters in. Not a damn thing changed until a few thousand miles after I stopped using synthetic oil. The engine quitted down like it was when I bought it. I've been using Dino racing oil ever since.....individual results will vary. Oh hell, did I accidentally start an oil discussion!!!!
