I believe he will need this kit if he is still using the stock Switchback wheel.

Thanks guys I already knew about the Arlen Ness kits but I'm not sure it will work with a Switchback Front Wheel. It's an 18" wheel and I'm afraid the Caliper might be to close to the rim.

I sent them an email asking if it will work on my setup. I'll update this thread if I hear something.

Ride Safe,
P

Yeah the Arlen Ness rotor is 15", could be pretty tight. I have seen the 13" rotors but can't find out who makes the caliper conversions...

"I sent them an email asking if it will work on my setup."
Probably a good idea. It does state in the Fitment for the hub mount "2000-up Dyna models with Hub Mounted Rotor and 2000-Up Softail with 18" or larger wheel. Single Disc."

It's a lie !
This kit don't fit on bikes with 11.9" rotor. For the Street Bob the rotor passed from 11.5" to 11.9" in 2007.
On my SB 2015 I was obliged to modify the caliper adapter and the brake pads. Ness refuse to pay off.
Look at the caliper adapter modified and the pads too far from center.

The kit from Ness is for bikes with brake rotor 11.5" diameter.
Your 2013 Dyna Wide Glide has 11,9" brake rotor.
Look at the picture, the route of the pad on the rotor is too narrow.
If you want the kit fit your bike you must modify the caliper adapter and the brake pads.
On this picture you can a whit line. You must cut down the surplus of the pad.

Not complicate but but must be done carefully with the right tools.
The regular price is 300$.
For verify with your bike, on the Ness page, click on "Parts for Harley", "Wheels and Brakes" and give your model and year.
You will not see the Big rotor for your bike.

i still don't understand what you are saying needs to be modified.

i ordered a kit earlier from phat performance for $171 shipped.

5% off

what did you have to change? you trimmed your pads and what did you do to your bracket?

the part is backordered so i can totally cancel the order if its ridiculous work. or if i just need to order the ness caliper. i was trying to wiggle out of buying the dual disk parts
