Drilling holes in sheet metal can be tricky. Did you use a hole saw?

Just curious do you have a back seat? If not you can get away with no belt gaurd. The belt gaurd is there mostly to protect the passenger or keep stuff like saddle bags out of your belt.No passenger, no saddle bags no need belt guard.

If you are seriously considering the perforated look -

bulletholes.

I may try this out.

45 caliber may work out well for the well worn look.

45 combined with a 308, maybe a 223 now and then.

Very appealing to my taste.

Thanx for opening up my mind -
(last time I said that was about 1965).
