I hate those "what are they worth" threads but here I am haha.
I was planning to get a mustang seat over the winter, either a Day Tripper or Tripper Fast back.
I decided to list my factory seat for sale in the mean time since the bike isnt going anywhere for 4-5 months.
is $200CAD ($150USD) fair for a like new condition OE FXDF Seat?

and, what do I keep from the OE seat? do I need that leather strap for the mustang seat, or just the bolt?

 

I have the Day Tripper. I keep the OEM on until the OL rides w/ me, then I put on the Mustang and the sissy bar.
If you sell it, half of retail is a good starting point.

Is there a reason you dont solo ride that seat?
All my riding is solo but I prefer the look up a 2 up seat that's why Im thinking of those 2 options

 

I like the way the rear of the OEM seat tapers I guess.

 

That's what was pushing me towards the tripper fastback, lower profile on the rear but is the front still going to be as comfortable as the day tripper?

 

^ ^ ^ ..appears to be the same for the rider part.
All i know is it's thinner (side to side) than stock, so your legs are closer together. It's a tiny bit taller than the stock seat also and sits slightly farther back. Just a little bit though...

 

I sport the mustang touring very comfort for rider and passenger. Looks good also

I have the wide Mustang solo, they sell the back pylon but I like the solo look. It is really comfortable, wide enough for me, just wish I had gotten one with a removable backrest

 

Thanks ! The shield is a HD touring it is quick connect. I blacked out the bottom of the shield myself.
