Default Saddlebags

I have HD quick release saddlebags on my '06 Dyna Super Glide, and they rattle like crazy. Thinking of changing over to hard mount bags. Can I use the saddlebags and just get hard mount hardware ? Also, are the hard mount bags a lot quieter, or do they rattle as well ?

The factory hard bags on my FXRT rattle like crazy. It is what it is & doesn't hurt anything. I don't notice it going down the road so not an issue for me.

Where are they loose to make them rattle? A bit of rubber here and there, some tape to take up some slack, a bit of silicone, ???? Find and fix the problem!

I have the same bags and they do make a lot of noise, when they are full or have weight in them then they are quieter but if they are empty they sound like my rear end is falling off. I have tried a bunch of different stuff to the quick connect bracket to try and make them less quiet but to no prevail..... jackyl

When my disconnect sissy bar started rattling I wrapped alittle electrical tape around the docking hardware and it helped a lot

Worth a try

I also recommend some electrical tape. If you layer it. That'll help a lot.
Sometimes if you goto Home Depot they'll have Rubber Grommets which help a lot.
