Default Front Turn Signal Replacement Question

I recently bought these turn signals.

They are two wire (yellow/black).

I want to install them on my 09 SB. I have stock turn signals on right now. The new signals have socket terminals on the end of the wire that looks like it will go into the AMP but they are way too short to ever reach it, they only have like 8" of wire.

I was thinking of simply snipping the stock wiring a few inches out of the present signals and using butt splicers and some shrink tubing connect that to the new signals.

Any huge flaws, or different plans of attacks you could suggest?

Are stock signals two wire or three (ground/run/turn)?

Hmmm looks like it is a three wire system.

Makes sense. You might need an aftermarket controller to drive the LEDs at two different levels. Custom dynamics and badlands sell them.

Ended up just cutting off the old light and wiring the new light's turn signal and ground wires into the new ones (which was a pain in the *** because the new lights had the thinnest wire imaginable, like four strands). Worked like a charm no need for a load equalizer/

FWIW, I installed a Kuryakyn Panacea tail light on my 09, there is a side note in the instructions that says the system will handle one set of LED turn signals without an equalizer,, but if you go both front and rear you'll need one.

Here are what they look like, I still need to clean up the wiring but you can see how they clean up the front of the bike.
