Default Replacement rear shocks for minor lift?

I'm looking to give my 2010 FXD a minor lift in the rear while supporting my 230 pounds plus a second rider. I saw these on Amazon and thought they might work well.
Amazon.com: Progressive Suspension 412-4045B Black 11" Heavy Duty Replacement Rear Suspension Shock: Automotive Amazon.com: Progressive Suspension 412-4045B Black 11" Heavy Duty Replacement Rear Suspension Shock: Automotive
Does anyone have experience with these shocks or with lifting the rear of an FXD?

11 inch shocks will actually lower your bike. You need to be looking at shocks at least 12.5 inches in length for more travel. I would recommend the 13.6 inch sway aways for what you want to do. They are amazing shocks with max travel. Progressive shocks are better than stock, but much worse than other shocks. I would avoid them largely.

The 12.6 were the ones I was looking at. I went to the Sway-A-Way page but couldn't find stuff for motorcycles.

With that kind of weight I would consider HD versions no matter what I got. I don't think a standard will please you much. Low cost the Progressive 412 12.6 but I am not sure if they have it in the HD version though.

From another post you have it seems like you'll be doing some off-pavement riding. I don't know if pure street shocks will do everything you want. My suggestion is to call Howard at Motorcycle Metal and tell him what you're planning. He'll customize a set of shocks for exactly your needs. I don't know of anyone better to figure out what the best setup would be for your bike.

With the weight you are carrying, get the longer shocks, not the shorter ones. It may not look as cool but the better ride more than makes up for that, imo.

All progressive models come in standard and heavy duty.

A minor lift would be 12.5 in the Progressive 444's...what I would get if I want to lift, but I stayed at stock 12" height. If you get 444's I would get the standard, you're right at the border and two up you can always firm them up w/ just few twists (all depends how much two up riding you do).

I definitely want the longer shocks. I am trying to lift it a little. What is the stock length?
