Default Clutch cable length question for apes

Im in the middle of my first ape hanger install. today I got the old bars off and the new bars internally wired. for now ill focus on the clutch side as im in no rush to finish this project as I have all fall/winter to do it.

below is my clutch cable fully extended up to my apes. all I see on JPCycles is +6 so do you think that will work for me. It seems like an extra 6 would be plenty but i figured id double check with the experts before i buy one.

thank you for your help. very much appreciated!

Call up Magnum Shielding and let them get you taken care of, buddy! +6 would likely be fine, but I like to avoid having too much cable. Maybe a +4. Realistically, if that cable is routed factory, you could likely reroute it and use it like we do on the choppers. At any rate, call Magnum Shielding and do what they suggest. They are wizards!

As mentioned earlier, call Magnum Shielding and discuss your setup. I've used them and they are excellent to deal with. In the meantime, I could hold the cable up in position with the cable routed properly. By that I mean with the large radius sweeping up and towards the clutch housing. Measure how much too short it its while you are holding it in the correct location. That will be the number you need. Good luck.

I think +6 would be way too long.

I went to 16" z bars on my 2013 Street Bob and I believe I went +4.
