Default 2015 FXDF battery issue

Well I've had my new FXDF for about 2.5 months and lately if I let it sit more then a day, off the maintainer then there won't be enough juice to turn it over. If I even have the key on for around 2 minutes it'll run the battery down to where it won't start. Just curious if anyone has had this problem before and if it was the battery. Once the bike starts the battery sits at 14.5 volts

Do you have a security system on your bike? If you do, are you leaving the fob and key in close proximity to it?

No security system. Probably just got a defective battery. Took the battery to the stealership and they can't do anything until I take them the bike. Go figure.

Had battery die on my 14 1/2 LR with short of 5k miles. Dealer replaced it under warranty.

The battery was probably dead on the showroom floor for a while, the plates sulfated and that's leading to the lack of charge.
If you want to absolutely confirm before taking it in and having a battery thrown at it...do a parasitic draw test and see what kinda current your bike is drawing when off

Well just got back from the dealer. They tested it and said it was bad, replaced it. for what ever reason the mechanic had to go and put miles on my bike. Everything seems to be working now.

Who wouldn't want to go put miles on a Fat Bob?

Well if it was going to die again for whatever reason, who would you want it to die on? You and leave you stranded somewhere or the mechanic who can call the shop for back-up?
