Default Anyone just lower the front?

OK, so my dumb question for the day. The street bob is already lowered in the back from harley (12" shocks), so I was wondering about the effects of lowering the front.

I like the looks of the lowered bobs, but I don't want to give up handling to do it. If I was just concerned about looks I would have a softail.

I see where some guys raise the back with longer shocks for better handling.

Has anyone done this? Post pics if you have.

Stock front to me doesn't handle the rough roads already, lowering it makes it worse.
Upgrading the front end then it wouldn't be so bad but as others have done raising the rear is in your favor.
I use 12.6" shocks and actually raises the rear 3/4" and gets it just about level with the front.
When I first got the bike I was bottoming out and at 500 hundred miles upgraded both the front and rear and since have never bottomed out.

you can lower the front just by loosening up the pinch bolts and sliding the tube up (or actually trees down). you keep the same amount of travel in the front end. I would not do it more than a 1/2"

Yup, very simple to do, and you don't lose any suspension travel and the ride isn't any rougher.

Handling won't be any worse either, except that you'll scrape sooner. Easy enough to try it and see if that's a problem.

I'm confused. The forks have a huge spacer in them from harley, a replacement set of springs is around $100. Better springs with a smaller spacer should give a decent or better ride right? I think you could actually end up with more fork travel.
