First time Harley buyer here and the Street Bob is the bike that has me. I'm hoping to get a good deal on the 2015 Street Bob, as the 2016's make their way in... I was quoted for 13,300 out the door and it seemed like a good price. Thoughts?

 

If you are ok with the price, then it's good.

I grabbed my 15 fxdf on august 23rd, I got some end of season and "if you take now " deals. It was only a couple grand off, I was happy with it.
You're not going to get some massive discount

I wonder what "dealer cost" truly is

 

My salesman tried to tell me that "$12,500?!?! I wish I could by them at that price!" speaking about a 2014 street bob in July of '14. I called him an outright liar on that one. But I believe its around $10,000 for a basic vivid black 2015 street bob at dealer's cost, judging by some online checks.

And from my short stint of research, it looks like Harley has more margin to work with, but I know what my dad paid cash for a Honda shadow 750 for brand new in 2008, and it was less than all the online places show dealer's cost as by more than $1000.... and thats on a bike that has a MSRP of $8200. so the dealer's cost of a 2015 street bob very well and probably is under $10,000 by a good chunk.

 

Don't forget "dealer holdback..."
