Default Another Wide Glide Tire Thread

So I have been searching here and everywhere else for options on rear tire replacement on 2010 and newer wide glides. Lots of threads about this but nothing I could find recent. By now I would think someone else other than Pirelli, and Michellin would have a tire to fit. What are you guys running, my local Indy can replace the rear for me with the original Michillin for $400. Just wish I had some options.

here's an article for those who think the Michelin is so great,,

http://www.dunlopmotorcycle.com/info...merican-elite/

I have this tire on the rear and it seem to be holding up really well, I have 8,000 miles on it & it has plenty of tread left, I'd estimate about 1/4" left, & no complints about performance though I don't drive too hard, I can say I've only had the back lock up once briefly while braking.

there are better looking tires but I'm all about long tread life, I hate spending $500+ having new tires installed.

I'm a little confused are you saying the tires in the link you posted are a good solution for the wide glide? I looked at the chart on your link and they are not showing a 180/60-17

If that's just for the tire, it's high. If it's for tire labor and balancing guess it's close to dealer prices.

Here ya go. Buy it from here and then have it mounted.

Motorcycle Super Store has them too but they are $40 more. Revzilla is also selling them but they are higher the MSS.

You don't have stock rims.

It might be tough getting a 16" tire onto his 17" rim.

Looks like JP Cycle has a 17/180 Scorcher on sale for about $240.

Looks like they sold out. Try Motorcycle Super Store. They carry them too and it's cheaper than JP. I think they were $222 with free shipping.
