Yeah I was ignoring the troll, but for the sake of the OP I should've said this. Glad you did.

On denim paint less is usually more. Less scrubbing, less stuff you are putting on there. HD does recommend their "Sunwash" for denim paint. They say it's fine, but I've never used it. If nothing else seems to work you might give it a whirl.

I've spilled a ton of gas on my tank (black denim) and windex plus cotton cloth always worked.

I would suggest a applying a sealant once you get it cleaned up. It will protect the paint from things like that.

Whatever product you use you should use a microfiber cloth. It is the wonder product of the 21st century...
