They have bags specifically made to work with the side mount plate. I have a set of their "Throw under" bags, which hang from under the driver's seat. Nothing but good things to say.

Petro is correct. The side bag is a Bad&G model 3L which does not require relocation of the license tag. The bag over the seat is just a black leather Harley fork bag. My Bob has a 2up seat but when I am riding solo I usually strap the fork bag over the rear of the seat for my keys/wallet/phone.
