I've had both, Sportster and Dyna. You really cant compare the Stage one Sporty to the EPA Dyna. You need to test drive the Dyna with stage 1 and forwards. Personally I would never go back to the Sportster. My stage 1 Sporty was pretty fast and peppy, but the Dyna is smoother riding and would blow away the Sportster in less than a hundred yards. May not be as fast off the line but plenty fast. And I dont look like a monkey f*****g a football when riding. my .02

key location-------------key fit--------------key falling out---------to old to have key issues---------and the kickstand is hard to find after a long ride, other than that it's a great bike. was not held at gun point and made to buy the bike so do not want to admit that my pick was a bad choice----there seems to be enough of that going on every where anyway[8D][8D]

RE: What Don't You Like About Your Street Bob?
I was riding a brand new Triumph T100 Bonneville 865cc and found it had no power, sound or fuel economy and needed heaps of work to get it right and then needed a tinkering spirit to keep it going. I hadn't even considered buying an HD again because I thought they were too pricey. As I became sick of the T100 I visited the HD dealer and discovered the 883 Sportster was even cheaper than the T100. Sitting on the Sportster, I felt cramped but it brought back vivid memories of my 1990 1200 R which I had enjoyed immensely. My dealer however had no plans to bring in any 1200's leaving me with a feeling of buying a "girls'" bike if I were to get an 883. He kept pushing me towards a really ugly purple-coloured 2006 Dyna Street Bob. The elephant "tampon" passenger cushion, laced wheels, austentacious sissy bar, sewing machine exhaust,1450 cc engine and purple paint put me off. Then I came to this website and saw how easily you can adjust and change things to make the bike yours. A set of Rush slip-ons, mag wheels andbadlander seat changed it all for me. I now like the paint and the mini apes. Both grew on me. As for spare parts, there are thousands of choices and all I can say is due to the availability of parts, prices are reasonable. The only other things to change is the ignition switch. I bought a DAWG guard and will hook up a keyless ignition shortly.
