Default Ordered a 7" headlight bucket

Just bought a 7" headlight bucket an a Truck Lite phase 7 LED headlight for my Street Bob. Hopefully it doesn't look stupid on there. I leave for work pretty early and could use some extra light, so hopefully this works out. Will post some pics once I get it installed.

No worries, it will look great and perform even better. You're gonna love it!

Love mine. Looks fine to me on my wide glide. I have an adjure bucket. You will love the pattern the phase 7 disperses. It's wide and still throws a good distance on low beam. Gain that added side visibility. Then bright just enhances the center of the beam and really throws it out there.

Can't wait to see pics. I think the stock light looks a little puny on the SB.

Default Update

Got the bucket and headlight this evening, so here are some pics of the progress so far. I'm going to use my stock harness in the new bucket. I didn't feel like digging around in the neck for the connector, so I disassembled the headlight connector and pushed the grommet out backward. Hopefully this doesn't bite me when I have to push it back in backward, but it seems easier so far.

Right now I am literally watching paint dry. I wanted to match the look of the original headlight so I painted the bucket, but am leaving the front trim ring chrome. Hopefully tomorrow night I'll be able to test it out.

I don't think you will have any problems with the wires/gasket. That is what it is made for. If it does have any problems sealing you could put a little silicone on it, but shouldn't be any problems. Looking forward to seeing it also!

Got it installed. Definitely looks brighter. I think it looks pretty good, but I might make a new mounting post to tuck it back a little more.

From the side it looks like the bulb sticks out a bit. As long as it's secure though I don't think it would be anything to worry about.
You are right though, maybe if it could sit back a bit would look better. Not that it looks bad as is though.
Got any pics from the front with bulb in?

This is a phase 7 in an adjure bucket. Fits like a glove. It was so close that an extra 1/8" depth in the mounting tab of the phase 7 and it wouldn't have fit.

Well I couldn't leave it alone. Ended up making a new mount, and am much happier with the placement. It's as close as I could get it to the neck now.

The Phase 7 bulb does stick out past the trim ring, but I had already read that before so it wasn't a surprise. You can get the harley frenched trim ring to bring it flush.

Slyedog, your post about the headlight in your bike build is what sold me on it.
