Just went through this with the dealer, It is the two metal casings rubbing togather. The dealer said there is a gasket there but harley will not cover it under the warranty. There is no fluid between the transmisson and the crankcase. I have about 10.5k on mine now and it seems to be getting better.

Well....I've had the bike for only 4 months and tonight is the 2nd time I cleaned it. I know its a Harley...lol. My father said the same thing...."it's a harley, its gonna leak." I'll keep an seeing ball on it and make sure it doesn't worsen. My dad just bought a "duece", I'm gonna see if his does the same thing or not. I think I might have to go over to his house and pull his out and get some miles on it though to see what his does. He only has 100 miles on it in 2 months....lol. He's busy though, so I can't rag him. Too much anyways.Later guys, and thanks for the input.

I had this exact same thing come up on my ’09 over the weekend and wasn’t too pleased like the OP on the local dealership pulling my bike apart to fix it.

I’ll just keep an eye on it for now.

I have a 2011 SuperGlide Custom and I have a similar issue with oil seepage. But this is occurring where the engine fin and transmission are meeting up.

Here is a picture that I used from the previous poster which I circled where the seepage is occurring.

It's also on both of the cylnders.

Given that my bike has about 400 miles on it.

Should I call up the dealer and see if this is normal?

Thanks
