Shinko 777 vs Avon storms what's the stickiest best performing best handling tire? I don't care about mileage. 🍻

Shinkos are a harder compound from my experience. They last long but definitely not sticky. The general consensus is probably going to be Avon tires but because of that they also wear really fast. I like Metzler tires personality, they are a good in between tire because they are pretty soft and they still last awhile.

880s are junk, night dragons junk, avons ok. Haven't run a 777 but I've heard good things, I know guys that have liked them drag racing. If you have a 17 Run a sport bike size if you can, much stickier compound. 180/55-17 will go on a stock 06-up rim, 190/50 will need a 5.5. I'm running this right now ebay # 321797443087. $100 to your door, hooks super hard when warm, lasted me almost 5k miles with some burnouts and many "street passes".

vdop,

What would you suggest for an '05 and earlier Dyna on stock rims?

Thanks.

A 17" wheel

I haven't had a bike with a 16 so I haven't done much experimenting but I've ridden plenty. Only good things I've heard from friends with big hp on 16s were 777s and avons but anything 16" is more of a touring compound.

Wanna stick to stock size tire for now just torn between the Shinko and the Avon storm. I rather go with Avon because everyone I know runs them and nobody has run the 777 yet that I know but I know they are all the rage elsewhere. The Avon is a duel compound tire which I rather just have the whole tire soft and sticky but from what I hear it's still got plenty of grip even in the middle of the tire. Just gotta get these stock sh*t house tires off an on to something that sticks. Thanks for your input 🍻

From what I have read all over Pirelli night dragon are the stickiest, because of that you'll probably get a max of 4,000 miles out of the rear. I have Metzlers now and they are pretty good but I go sideways when I fully crack the whip in first and second.....think I will try the Avon's next tire change.

Metzlers are not sticky at all. They are hard, dense rubber that lasts a long time. They are a great tread and a great profile and handle great on the highway ,but not sticky. 880's are s great all around tire but you can break it loose in a straight line just by twisting the throttle. I have put a lot of miles on 880's

I put a night dragon on the front once and did not like it at all.

I put a sinko 777 on a bike I was selling because it was so cheap and it seemed pretty good. I only rode it a few times before it sold so didn't get to check it out much. I am thinking of trying it on my New bike when the time comes

Never had an Avon , but my buddy swears by em. I think his are venom or cobra
