So my search for a Dyna might be over tonight if the bike I'm going look at tonight checks out. Long story short, moving my around town bike from an 08 Sportster 1200C that was bought with the idea that my mom would use it as a beginners bike. She didn't really get into it so I'm moving up to a Dyna. Going to look at an 09 Super Glide. I wanted mid controls, mag wheels, and a 6-speed so that pretty much put me in the 09-10 super glides. Looks good in the pictures with only 5K miles. Is there anything that stands out as common problems with these bikes I should look for? With me luck!

Nothing unusual to look for, just the normal wear and tear stuff. With 5K that shouldn't be much at all. Still wouldn't hurt to have a tech check it over. You'll love the bike.
Oh, and good luck!

Picked an 09 last year,, my research at the time pointed to no common trouble areas known with that model.
FWIW, I payed $6500 for a pretty much stock bike pewter/color w/15K
w/ sissy bar, saddlebags, tool bag and quick detach windshield.
Love it,,

Awesome! This one looks stock outside of a set of Vance and Hines short shots and a detachable windshield. Its black and guy is asking 7200....bringing cash in hopes some green will make that price come down.

I have a 09 FXD and I love it except for the fact I was rearended 2 weeks ago and I won't go into any detail other than the dynasuperglide is an awesome Harley. Not to heavy and handles great. Lots of room for assecories etc. and their not too expensive.Good luck.

Well I bought it! Only picture I have right now as its dark out. Its odd because it has a 2-up seat but doesn't have passenger pegs. It also has a K&N air filter already on it. I noticed a wire that was unhooked....the seller (just a guy with a local bike shop that flips bikes on the side) guessed it was so a tuner could go in line.

Does anyone know if these seat is stock? It has the HD Bar and Shield on it and has a kinda textured feel to it. I'm hoping its an extended reach seat (last owner was a woman) as right now the bike feels kinds cramped.

Looks like it might be a stock seat, but those are not Short Shots. I believe they are V&H Big Shots.

Ok I wasn't sure and the seller didn't say. Right now the bike does feel rather cramped to me. If its the stock seat shouldn't of had passenger pegs? I'm 6'2 280 and I tried to use the foot spots on the engine guard my knees were by my elbows.

I can take another pic tomorrow but the seat does look like this one so I'm thinking its a reduced reach set.

Take the seat off and turn it over. You should see a part #. Do a search of the part # and you'll know what you have.
