Default Front lower fork tube chrome

Just as it says, except I only have 5500 miles on thes tubes and the clear and paint are blowing off due to road rash. I would like to send these to a reputible chrome shop and chrome them in the middle of this next winter.Browns who I used years ago is no longer around....who does great plating????

Chrome plating isn't going to protect from "road rash."

Yeah, if you go down that much you need riding training, not chrome.

I'm hoping maybe you miss spoke and meant chips from rocks and other road debris.....

Are you aware that you can clean them up and they will look like they have been chromed. A little elbow grease is involved. Start with 3000 grit wet dry sandpaper. Wet sand them. Follow up with mother's aluminum polish and a speed ball.

Well road rash to me is a dump truck in front of you at 70 with a sign saying "stay back a bazillion feet". I work in a collision repair shop and see the rash left on front bumpers and hoods,as Joe Walsh says "its survival in the city".
I thought of the high gloss polishing you could go 1000-then 1500-then 3000 then compound, I used to use Hapish semi chrome polish ( is that even still made?), but my Lowrider has chrome tubes and they are effortless to clean.
Side note why in the hell did Harley think something so close to the ground could be painted with todays 2 stage paint????
