Biltwell Apes on 12' FXDWG
I want to put some 12" Biltwell apes on my 2012 wide glide and was wondering if I need to buy new cables? I've seen on the forum that some people are able to get away with not buying new cables, which is what I want to do. Anyone have any experience with 12" apes on a wide glide? Obviously if I can get away with not buying cables I'm going to save some $$$.
Thanks in advance

I put 12" Todd's Cycles on my 2012 with one inch risers. The stock throttle cables were to tight for my liking. If you stay with the stock risers I believe you will have to change cables.
Try it and see if you can do it without.
Someone else will probably post that they were able to do it.

I put 12" T-bars on with out extending anything on a buddies bike. With the stock risers and 12" bars, you'll have to change cables. My 14" gimp hangers on 1 1/2-2 inch risers (can't remember which) required new cables. Wiring should be golden though. Don't use the 14" burly kit for 14" bars...way to long.
