I had good luck with the National Cycle Deflector DX on my last bike. Removable and very easy to change the angle of the shield from a low profile to straight up.

OP, if I were you I'd just drop another $100 on one of their taller windshields and be done with it. You can sell your existing "near new" windshield for probably $50 to $60. You might even post a swap ad here in the classifieds and on Craig's List. You may find somebody with a taller shield that wants shorter.

It's really not their fault. It's up to us to determine where the windshield will align on us. I'm betting yours is below your nose which will be turbulent. And you certainly can't expect them to take back a installed & used windshield, they can't re-sell it.

Also rather that making a weak attempt at putting them out of business, you might have some of your friends that were/are interested in their shields, to try yours on. If your shield fits them, ask them to buy the taller shield and swap with yours and pay them the difference.

It doesn't have to be so bad. Just make a little effort to correct your misjudgement of ordering the wrong size shield. I'll bet it would take a lot less effort to correct the issue, than the energy you're spending here in bashing them for your error.

Man up, accept the errors of your judgement, and move on riding happy once again.

*update* maybe I over reacted about the situation. I really was not happy with my purchase and I was upset I had basically been just blown off by the response my dealer received. Add on top of that the ridiculous week I've had (not that it should matter) and it just added insult to injury. Come this morning I had rethought the situation and decided to get over it and move on.

This afternoon I received a response back from memphis shades regarding my situation and they are going to help me out, no need to go into detail but I will be keeping my hardware and ordering a larger shield. Thanks to the members who responded to this thread.

Good for you Shodown, I'll bet the other larger shield works out good for you. A lot of folks here use & like their windshields. So they must be pretty good.

It took 3 to find the right one for me. I knew it would be a gamble, only saving grace was that I bought used and was able to sell them afterwards not losing too much $$$. Hope you find the one that works for you!

Its funny that they were willing to take back the hardware but not the windshield considering there hardware looks worse than muffler clamps imo. Glad to see they were willing to make it right.
