I installed a Rifle fairing on my '98 Dyna (winter attire) ...





I've installed the Rifle fairings a a couple other friends' bikes as well.

I am a new owner of an '18 Street Bob and I am already thinking about changing the mini apes to a set of drag bars and having a fairing/ shield and saw your bike.

I was wondering how much air gets deflected for you?

I am only 5' 7" and figured that by having drag bars and a small screen will be enough to get my head out of the wind.


Any tips or advice please?

Whatever you do, DON'T BUY A DEVIANT fairing. They're junk.

 

This is what a typical aftermarket fairing looks like compared to an original. I think the brand is TCMT. It looks pretty good to me. Original is ABS plastic. Aftermarket is fibreglass.

Hang one of those mothers on a Pan America with Sport Bags.

 

I really like the FXRT/FXRP fairings. I had one and the leg fairings, but never figured out to mount everything on my 98 Dyna, so sold the set up, for 3x what I paid for it several years later

 

I purchased my bike in May 2021 with this fairing and haven't decided to keep it or not. I like that it's black and matches the black on the tank, but a clear one might be a better look.

I will wait until next year to decide.
