103 vs 103 Rushmore. What's the diff.

The engine difference is the 103HO (high out put) have a cam similar to the SE 255 cams. It does add a solid gain in punch. My 14 Road King and 15 Freewheeler have them. The 14 Low Rider has the regular 103 and the heavier King out runs it.
Some Rushmore's had water cooled heads. But the Ultra's, Road Glides, Street Glides and Road King did not unless they were CVO's. All but the Road King got the hydraulic clutch.
By the way the clutch problem was on the assembly line when some idiot put a component supply (a disc) that was for the non hydraulic system. The HD hydraulic clutch had been around for some time on CVO's and well proven. Just human error. HD caught it quick, initialed a prompt recall. Went to the owners house to pick up the bike and hauled it back when done. That was a superior response that no other vehicle makers has ever done.

Until you get to the full dressers, they received the Twin Cooled High Output twin cam 103 engine, where they add the liquid coolerd heads and small radiators in the lower fairings.
