I'm looking for a sissy bar for my 13 wg. I like Ginz Choppers teepee but don't want to spend $400 for a set up. Are there any other options out there. Want something around 20" tall if anyone knows a good place to look.

 

I was in the same predicament 3 mos ago. Tried 2 other sissy bars, but finally purchased a ginz. Couldn't be happier with fitment, quality and comfort for passenger.

I ordered the EL Hefe from Slim's Fab Farm last Wed. $140 for my Street Bob, haven't received it yet. Not sure it will fit a wide glide. But its worth asking about. I looked at a few other ones as well. I'll check my bookmarks when I get home and post up some links for you.

Does that require any modification? Like moving the turn signals/plate etc?

 

I literally just unpacked it an hour ago. About to go do the install now. There were no directions that came with it. I will do a write up later.
First impression is there is no way this thing is fitting around my fender. Was worried that they sent me one for a sportster. I checked the invoice and it is indeed for the Sbob/dyna.
Looks like all I have to do is unbolt the 2 rear fender struts on either side of the fender and slide it in. It should not affect the side plate and it will slide in between the signals and fender I think.
Being tight is not a bad thing in my mind. Again, I'll do a write up later once its all done and I finish running some errands today.

well, I've already run into a problem that I saw coming as I'm not a wiring guy. The wires for the lights need to run through the sissy bar hole(s). What's the easiest way to disconnect and then reconnect the wires to the signals? I'm not a wiring/electrical type of guy.

 

If yours is like my bob there should be plugs for the turn signals inside the tail light Super easy to just unplug them and route them.
