Default Dual disk on a fxdwg

So anyone have a dual disk on a wide glide? I have a 2011 and I want dual disk on the front, I have a guy that I can get a complete fatbob front end for cheap.. Besides getting rim/hub set up for a dual disk and spacers what else would I have to do? Figured I'd throw on the fat bob tripped trees to take away some of the rake, I could use the lower legs and brakes from the bob.. Has anyone done this yet?
Got my jd customs tsport repop fairing ordered in the factory color, got the leatherpros tsport bags ordered, gonna order some 12.5 progressive.. I just gotta figure out this front end..

If you're going to put the whole Fatbob front end on, you'll need the larger brake master cylinder and dual brake lines. Not sure how much it will change overall geometry. (shorter fork tubes?)

If you want to add dual disc brakes to a stock Wide Glide, you could add the new Low Rider components:
  • larger master cyl
  • dual brake lines
  • new FXDL slider
  • new FXDL brake caliber
  • extra brake disc
  • Street Bob front wheel (drilled both sides for brakes)
  • custom spacers
So you're building a Fat Glide?

Not really, I am getting all the lines, master cylinder, wheel, forks, triple trees etc. I don't want the big tire of the fat bob I wanna keep the 21 on the front.., and the trees will bring In the rake of the wide glide.the lower legs will swap.and that will give me by mounting solution for the right caliper. Gonna ditch my 11" shocks and put a set of 12.5 on, the. Once I figure all that out the I am gona do a 124 build I just don't know what to do about a wheel/hub that will allow me to run a dual disk.. Basically I wanna morph my wide into a fxdwgt lol.. Why, because I've never seen a wide glide done that way and I'm bored lol.

I've got a 12 WG and the solution I found for the front wheel was to use the hub from a Street Bob 19" spoke wheel. A Sportster hub might work also. I got spokes from Buchanans and I'm making my own spacers.

Keep in mind that it will be easier to lock-up that front wheel at a MOST inopportune time with two disc up front.
I had a '96 Springer that I changed over to a PM front caliper.
I could lock the front wheel and slide the tire 'EASY'.
In a 'panic stop' you could go down.
Be sure you 'know' what you are getting into.............

Do you think you have enough rubber on the ground with the WG tire to take advantage of a duel brake?????? My front end only weighs 350 lbs. according to the state truck scales.
