Tires and dealer
Went to the Stealer today with my own Dunlop/Harley 401 rear tire. Dealer said it would be $98. to install, I took the whole bike in not just the rim/tire. We did a walk around and although the front tire had 1/8" tread in the center he pointed out the uneven wear and suggested a new Dunlop/Harley 401 front tire as well. I could see what he said was uneven wearing. I asked if this would stop the effects of uneven pavement and tar snakes and he said it would help. It cost me total $320. to install the rear, purchase and install the front tire, adjust the shocks to the stiffest setting and while the front tire was off align a slightly crooked front crown/fork that drove me crazy. On the ride home I rode the shixxiest stretch of road that had pavement shims reaching to mid lane and always caused me a wobble and was so much better. I can't say the HD Dealers aren't expensive but the work done at Danbury, CT Harley today for me was fast, reasonable and you get a feeling of trust for them and I'm far from a rookie. My first service work with them was done today. I wrench most of my stuff but will return to this dealer for sure.

When you don't do your own wrenching it's good to have a dealer that will do it for you.
I mount my own wrenching. Most dealers I've found think they are doing you a favor when they sell you something at prices higher than you can purchase on your own.
Just bought two Michelin Commander II's for my brother. He had them mounted today for $50 each (his choice) total cost $417
I bought front and rear MC IIs last year for my Dyna for about $254 and mounted myself.

I had my last two tires shipped to me from Rocky Mountain RV and had them mounted by an indy. I also had them replace the rear bearings at the same time with a pair I purchased from them. They charged me around $285 which I thought was a little steep. All total, the cost of getting and changing the tires and replacing both rear bearings was just over $500. I am completely satisfied with their work but their prices were not any better than the local dealer so I will buy the tire tools and change the next tires myself.
