Default Black Fork Sliders...Stock #???

Hey guys looking to do the dual-disc conversion on my 05 FXDL. Anybody know if there were any FXDX years that came stock with black fork sliders with dual-disc brackets?

39mm...trying to get a part number to order thru HD. Looked up 2005 XL1200R and the sliders are $179 each but they are the natural finish. Looked up 2003 FXDX lowers and they are $249 each but the color isn't listed. HMMMM...it's a mystery!!! Anybody got any ideas???

Pretty sure you're going to need to powdercoat.

I'm not sure the FXDX ever came from the factory with black fork lowers, but I could be wrong. After 8 years of looking at a dull, boring front end I just did mine and the triple clamps in VHT black appliance epoxy.

Any idea why the fork sliders for the same year sportster 1200roadster and the fxdx would be $75 different though?

How much would it cost to powder coat do you reckon

I think getting fork lowers powder coated is between $80-100 plus shipping if you don't have anyone local.

Ebay has a set powdered for $99 plus shipping. A few others on there for more. That's where I purchased mine. Another option is the powder pro.

I didn't see any at that price for dual discs. Could you post a link to the specific ad? That price seems too good to be true.
