Default Reflector residue on black denim paint

Hey guys, bought myself a 2014 street bob with black denim paint from the HD dealership recently and noticed that the previous owner removed the rear reflectors from the fender.

I would of done the same if they were still on there, however you can still see the glue residue at different angles. You can't feel it by touch, but it's definitely still there. I'm thinking about using some WD40 on it, but wanted to see if anyone else had any tips? Thanks!

A good number of people use that or Goo-Gone.

Heat the adhesive residue with a hair dryer, keep it good and warm with the hair dryer and use a soft cloth with rubbing alcohol on it, no scratches that way...

I used goo gone to get mine off and it didn't hurt my paint. I would use a hair dryer and get as much off as you can before you use the goo gone.

Being that the reflectors and the bulk of the glue are already gone, you won't need to heat it up with the hair dryer. Just use some Goo-Gone and you should be fine. It's hard to tell from the picture and being that it's the denim black paint, and I don't have any experience with that color/paint but is it possible that it's discoloration from the sun, perhaps the reflectors were left on too long and the paint is discolored ??? You will know once you hit it with the Goo-Gone.

I used simple green on my bike when I took those hideous reflectors off; worked perfect for me.
