Default Stupid exhaust bracket on 2014 fxdb

So I've tried to get this thing off however, the frame is all kinds of in the way and I'm not able to get anything on the torx bolts that are securing this bracket to my scoot. A buddy told me harley makes a special tool for getting this thing off but when I went to the dealer they had no clue as to a special tool and said they can't get them off either and that my best shot at it would be to cut it off.
So in here lies my dilemma because I'm thinking about trying to make it a bracket for a helmet lock. So if I can get it off without cutting I'd like to have it powder coated and see what I can come up with. So again, does anybody have a trick or am I just not seeing things straight as to how to get this bracket off?

My friends 07 SB had the same bracket. I got it off by removing the top and front motor mounts and lifting the motor with a scissor jack. I was then able to get at the bolts.

Thanks for the heads up. Wish there was an easier way but oh well. Can't ride tomorrow with all the snow melting and salt on the roads so I know what I'll be doing. Thanks again.

MY 08 WG has the same bracket. The V&H Big Shots pretty well cover it, so it's not noticeable unless you look under the pipes.

Well holy **** look at that. Here I was about to call my buddy out when the dealer told me there was no such tool! Though it seems if that wrench would work then so would a torx bit in a flat ratchet wrench which I have tried. Not sure if I want to buy this wrench though as I already have means to cut it off. I was kind of hoping when I went to the dealer that they would have this tool and just take the dang thing off for me and then later slap it back on. Thanks for the link though!

I removed the pin that holds the rear brakepushrodand took asmall chisel and hammered the torx loose. Since then I changed the torx bolts for allen heads and they go in and come off quite easily now.
Instead of the ratchet you could just hold the torx tightly in a vise grip just to get them loose, but change the torx out for allen heads if you put the bracket back on.

Funny that the description for that wrench states that it's designed to remove four bolts on the bike. Not a bunch, just four. I could understand if they were really important but they're just four, little, insignificant (once you no longer use the OEM exhaust) bolts dug in like deer tics.
