Default Question about tc88 rear cam bearing

Replacing rear cam bearing with roller. Bearing came with spacer washer and O ring. No instructions. Where are these installed and are they needed? Thanks for any help.

The rear b-148 bearing should not have washer or o-rings. I'd say the washers could be cam shims I assume.

There are four pieces in that box. A bearing, an inner race, a thrust washer and an oring.

That is a thrust washer and the oring is there to center the thrust washer on the cam. The oring goes on first. Then the washer goes on, then the inner race. Do not break the oring when slipping it over the cam splines. It is not sold separately and you'll have to buy another cam bearing kit to replace a .02 cent oring if it gets messed up. I have the instructions around somewhere. I'll try to find them for you. Look for my thread "another winter project" I took some pics installing the inner race, thrust washer and oring. Question about tc88 rear cam bearing-image-1898455892.jpg Here's a pic of the race and the washer installed. Yours being a 99 may not be splined....probably keyed. But it's essentially the same.

It is a 99. Just know where the spacer and O ring go. It is the rear outer cam bearing.
