RE: Oil pouring out of crank case breather
I have come across this before. If the bike has been laid up for some time or left stored without gas the rubber on the tip of the float needle distorts. The gas then drips past the seat and flows down into the combustion chamber and past the pistons into the crank. Sometimes its just a bit of dirt caught between the seat and the float needle. Always turn off your gas.
Replace the float needle with a new one and check the seat for damage. You will have to drain the crank and replace the oil. also put some oil back into the crankcaseas the gas will have washed the oil from the bearings. Pour a very small drop into the plug holes, this will stop the pistons geting damaged on start up, the gas will have washed the bores clean. The engine will smoke like a two stroke for a min or two. Turn over the engine first without starting it making sure oil is circulating before starting.
Hope this helps

That happened to me last year. Parked the bike over the winter (with the fuel valve off) and fuel leaked pass the valve through the carb into the crankcase. Made one hell of a mess with the oil/gas mixturecoming out of the remote breather. A new valve fixed that issue (wanted a chrome one anyway).

Yes, I forgot to add that sometimes the fuel tap seal fail and let gas leak past over time, especially some aftermarket types. Because HD's are on the side stand this makes matters worse. Get a new fuel tap (petrol tap, fuel valve, petcock, in some countries) it is a lot cheaper than a ****ed motor.........
