I have a 2014 Low Rider and use a solo seat. I'd really like to add the rigid solo rack (52796-09) but the fitment says only Street bobs and wide glides. Is that because those come with solo seats or are the fenders on those models of dynas actually different dimensions/hardware?

any help would be appreciated

 

Wide Glide comes with a 2 up seat so I don't think that is the problem. I'm guessing the mounts are spaced differently or the fenders are different sizes.

 

Yeah, I think the fenders are bigger on the wide glide and street bob

 

Could be a case of HD fitment being wrong, happens now and then. The Wide Glide and Fat Bob won't fit because they are a good inch wider than the others, same with the Switchback but not as much. Anything else I can't see a reason as they all have the same fender width and such.

 

I am hoping you are right. If you look at the fitment they also include the 2014 Super Glide Custom. I just looked at some pictures and it might as well be a low rider. I would be amazed if that isn't the same fender. Also if you look at the detachable passenger pillon made for that rack then the fitment shows the fxdl.

I bit the bullet and ordered it off of ebay so I guess I'll find out next week when it arrives.

 

Looking at the fiche, they both have the same fender part numbers, as well as the nut plates that the attaching bolts fix to, strut covers are different but from the photo that looks to be cosmetic rather than dimensional - I think it will fit fine.

 

It should fit fine. It only uses the strut/fender side mounts. I have one on my 2009 fxdl. Have a helper when you install it. It is hard to handle without scratching the fender paint during install.
