Default In quest of new bars...maybe

Greetings,

Last season was the first full season of owning my bike and I went and bought a whole bunch of stuff for the bike, including bars.

I went with the Wild 1 Pyscho Street Fighters.

I went with these bars because the stock bars were pitched too far inwards, which caused my wrists to cramp on a full day of riding, they looked cool and I could just squeek by using the stock lines/cables.

So, almost a year later, I've come to the conclusion that yes, they look cool, but the pitch of the grips is almost a little too flat. I'd also like something that comes back a little further as well....more pullback. The overall height of 12" is ok, but can also get by with a 10" rise....maybe even 8". I do like the width. They are 30.5" which works for me since I have to squeeze my bike down the driveway with a car in it. I need to keep the width to a max of 32".

I'm considering Wild 1 8" Drag Bars (not T Bars). They have a pull back, which would be perfect, just don't know how this style of bar would look on a Switchback. Was also looking at Carlini Clean Sweeps as well, but not sure of the look on the FLD.

Otherwise, am considering a 1.25" Heritage style bar. I'd rather not have to go to longer lines/cables, but will if the rest of the package really works.

So, any thoughts/opinions on preferred bars within these parameters?

Thanks!

I have the wild 1 8 inch drag bars that you're talking about. I like them very much, height is a little lower than what you're talking about by the time the pull back is done. They feel a little lower than my stock mini apes. The 10" versions have a little more height as well as more pull back but frankly all the pics of them on bikes looked a little strange to me.

The Carlini's were my next choice they have a little less pull back than the equivalent Wild 1's both beautiful bars, I got a better price for mine via Phat Perfromance

Good luck!

Here are some pics of the 8" wild 1's in black from when I was putting them on. I think they would go nicely with the switchback in chrome

You might want to take a look at the nightster bars off of the sportster line. there are a few guys here running them with 4 to 6" curved risers.
Also the softail low has a good looking set of bars that might work with the parameters you`re looking for.

Robbyville...
What's the pullback on those wild 1 8"? Close to stock?

Can you run the electrics through the Nightster bars?

Robbyville, thanks for the pics. That helps a lot.
