RE: Wideglide Alarm Help
I don't understand the question.
Why would you need to alarm the bike while on a ferry? Is someone going to steal it and drive it off the stern.
I would be most concerned about how the bike will be secured during the voyage. I would not want to rely only on the jiffy stand with a boat that is potentially rocking around. Just asking for trouble.

When the bike stands idle it automatically arms the alarm, I want to disable this to prevent the alarm constantlygoing off in transit.
As far as the ferrys concerned the bikes are securely strapped down and won't move

Certainly there must be a special way to defeat the alarm for these situations?

RE: Wideglide Alarm Help
Read your owners manual that may give you the answer. When reading my USA manual for 2006 I noted that the non-USA bikes automaticly arm the system when locked. I don't know if there is a way to defeat that. It didn't sound like it in the short explanation that was in the manual but since I am in the USA I didn't pay much attention. Anyway that is probably why the USA boys don't know about the auto alarm for non-USA bikes. It did not come out until 2006 according to my USA manual. Good Luck. Your dealer my be your best bet.
