Default Cool dyna exhaust

Even though I have 2 perfectly beautiful motorcycles, I still like to look at the bikes that are out there on craigslist and ebay. I have a dyna and a sporty and am in no way dissatisfied with them. Looking at other bikes is like motorcycle pornography. Anyway, I was looking at bobbers (this one happened to be a Honda shadow... sorry, thought it looked cool) and saw this exhaust on the dyna in the background. Is that aftermarket?

Looks like a home built set-up to me.

Yep. Manufactured in some ones garage or shop. That style would get old real quick.

Looks like two pipes crammed into Samson or similar exhaust. Didn't the old heads run pipes like this in the late 60's early 70's?

That 90 degree bend would create some back pressure for sure

Those pipes are '70's vintage. Made for blow drying the passenger's hairdo.

Nah, that looks factory to me.

Looks like the 'Full emissions' version that comes stock on all bikes here in NZ. The exact opposite of the California low emissions laws.

Because we are close to the Antarctic, it rains a bit and gets cold here in winter, so our plan is to speed up global warming as much as possible, so instead of being known for being 'middle earth' we can re-market ourselves as 'The Carribean of the South Pacific’.

The idea with those pipes is the get all the carbons into the upper atmosphere faster, with the well known chimney effect.

Fingers crossed it's working!

I would refuse to ride on that as a passenger. Some hazards..
1. burns
2. hearing loss
3. carbon monoxide poisoning
