Default Paint Questions

Hi guys so I ordered my HD quarter faring and I'm in the processes of getting it painted. One of the guys at the dealership gave me a number of a friend of his and told me hed hook me up getting it painted. called the guy said it shouldn't be hard and hed be happy to do it. so my question is im getting it matched to the bike which is denim black and itll come primerd does anyone have the paint code or will he just have to do his best to match? and second whats a resoable price for this i know this is a hard question but im kinda not trying to spend more then like 100-150. he said it be quick all he had to do was spray it all the prep is done. so any input would be nice thanks

Paint and supplies will be around $50 so $100 is on the bargain side.

I'm painting my bat wing fairing and new front fender Sedona orange. 8oz.of PPG is $86.00 plus all the additives. Thinners, harder, etc.. It didn't match that great so I just ordered a quart of HD Sedona orange from the dealer $140.00. Its cheaper online. So ya if you get out of it for under $250.00 your doing good.

Paint and Paint jobs are like the Tattoo analogy
Cheap paint ain't good and GOOD PAINT ain't cheap.

The Sedona Orange is a pearl with a metallic silver base under 3-5 coats of pearl orange. Its a tough paint to match exactly. I used a Spies Hecker code DGX 2011 Sedona Orange. Looks a bit more copper than orange which I guess is a desert orange.

Matching denim black should be cake except for controlling the amount of gloss.

I have an RK that is Sedona and the rear fender was obviously shot at a different time and is a mismatch. Believe it or not Denim is hard to match for the reason you stated - it's all about the amount of matte.
