Your ride; go with whatever you want.

I had a 2007 Street Bob all blacked out. Traded it for a Softail Deluxe all chrome. Now I'm back on a denim black 2014 Street Bob but this time it's gonna be black AND chrome as I think that is the best combination. So I would go with chrome.

But actually, go with what you like best, it's your bike

such a helpful first post

like others have said, do what makes you happy....but if you go with black you will need to balance that with other black accents so it looks right

Man I didn't think I would get this much feedback so quick! Yeah the overall scheme I am going for is a balance of black and chrome, not full one way or the other.

I'm thinkin the chrome thunderhunder, chrome bars now. I think the gloss black rifle fairing will mix nicely with the chrome bars. Adding some black accents here and there, maybe mirrors, battery cover, AC. The engine guard may come off too, easy enough to throw back on.

That's what I'm thinkin now, that could change tomorrow lol

I just installed my new black battery cover tonight. It was 53$ at the dealership. Looks fantastic and you could put your chrome band on it.

Originally I was going down the blacked out path but am now mixing chrome and black - think they go together well and balance one another. So i'd go chrome. Heres my fatbob - still some to so but getting there

That is the cool thing about Harley's you can make them your own and no one will have one exactly like you. Well except all the club style dynas I see here in Ventura, Ca. They all look like SOA bikes that came off the assembly line or something.
