The dealer was probably told by the MoCo to move closer to an interstate, or lose his franchise.

But still, it's a weird way to sell real estate.

Think the stealer is doing this with tongue in cheek?? And, hey, if you are in the market for the real estate - why not get a new scoot thrown in....even if it is "just" a bobber! Might be pretty cool, if the price is market-reasonable. The stealer also hooks another fish!

The reasoning probably has something to do with taxes or issues pertaining to the ownership of the property. Oftentimes in a transaction there is considerable wrangling over how much of the sales price is attributable to the business' intellectual property, good will, real estate, fixtures, etcetera. The price is the price but allocaiton can result in a difference ot the after-tax numbers.
