Default Grip slop

Hi guys,

I changed out my bars today. Not too bad, will report step by step and pics later or tomorrow.

Anyway, I bought some Arlen Ness grips to replace my stock ones, seems like they are a couple millimeters shorter than stock, so in the case of the throttle grip there is a little side to side play where the other ones had none. It seems like I have them installed with switch housings, etc properly. So is it ok to have a little play side to side or should I re-install the stocks?

thanks.

My 02 has side to side play on the throttle grip. I wouldn't think it should be tight. It's just a little over a 1/16" of slop.

Every harley I've been on has some side to side play in the throttle side grip. Probably 1/8in or so on avg.
