Default powder coat air shocks

I bought the Monroe air shocks to do the Do It Yourself air ride however I was going to take Joe's advice and hit them with some gloss black my question to you guys is would power coating these damage the rubber that holds the air since powder coating takes high heat. should I just rattle can them gloss black I have asked Joe already from the powder pros but he is probably on vacation or something he has not gotten back to me yet

Powder coating would get your shocks way to hot. Only if you could strip the shocks.

I'm fairly sure Joe powder coated his. I rattle canned mine but I didn't let them cure long enough so they are a little messed up. I'll probably blast them and rattle can them again.

Joe just rattle canned his.
Way too much trouble to powder, would have to redo seals inside.
