Default HD tach/digital speedo addition kit? 08' FXD

I have an '08 FXD that I want to add a tach to. I just called my local dealer and was told by the parts guy that the new digital/analog one piece tach/digital speedo won't work on my bike. So unless one of you know the answer, I'm kind of stuck with a Dakota Digital or similar. I'd really prefer to keep it OEM if possible.

I thought I read here somewhere that they DID offer a 4" tach/digi speedo gauge.

Anyone know more then the parts guy?

Disregard. I guess the parts guy didn't look too hard. While the description on the parts page shows only sportsters - looking at the install manual it clearly shows Dynas 04-11 as compatible, as does Ronnies. 70900274 is the one I just ordered.

I've been looking for one for my 2011 Street Bob with a 4" gauge. No luck, The Dakota Digital is the only drop in aftermarket gauge that works that I can find so far. Harley used to make one. It was in their 2010 catalog but I can't find it anywhere.

The description says it's compatible but the fitment guide on Harley's site does not list your bike.

You sure? Look here, on page 2 - says it will fit your '11

I do too. Post back after you install it and let me know how it went.

I just noticed, Rochester? Another icebox... Just like here in Westchester.

I've got work to do but I'm afraid to ride to the shop in fear of ice. Thinking of renting a U-Haul cycle trailer.

Hope you can read this. It's the label on the package from mine. It fits a lot more bikes than what the web says.

Install was easy as long as you follow the steps. After 30 miles it marries itself to your bike, so it's yours forever. It took about 15 minutes to install and another 45 to figure how to set the colours up the way I like.

I was a little worried about reading the digital speed, I need reading glasses, but there is no problem at all. I really like this thing.
