Default Rubbermount fxr exhaust

Hmm, this new to me FXRP came with Santee 2 1/4 drag pipes, has a mount that looks like it will solid mount to the swingarm lower bolt, but I noticed a rubber mount a bit farther back, should the exhaust be rubber mounted, like the engine, or can it be solid mounted?

I built a mount that came off the tranny back to the pipe.the pipe needs to stay mounted the engine /trans isolated from the frame or it will crack eventually

YES look at it this way,,, your motor moves too a degree hence your pipes don't have a rubber mount, if they are mounted too motor/gearbox .... cars there the same but more rubber mounts,, and as ABOVE if your pipes only mount is too the frame you need a flexible mount...
