Default Big Shots

I got a new set of Vance and Hines Big Shots for my FXDWG for Christmas and got them put on today. It took a little over 3 hours to do it by myself. A helper would have speeded up the install end of it. Took it out for a short 15 mile ride. It was 35 degree's tops today. That's all the cold I could stand. The new pipes sound awesome, even to my old half deaf hearing.

I've had those pipes on my Wide Glide since shortly after I bought it.

After building the top end to 103" and adding cams they were too loud and tinny, I went to the quiet baffles which lowered the tone but not so much the volume.

I had the same pipes on my FatBob before selling them to my buddy and putting the Basanni Road Rages on - IMHO, the Big Shot pipes have a deeper and better sound with the quiet baffles

Before I go the quiet baffle route, I need to make some long road trips to see if the noise gets to me. Right now they sound great over the stock pipes and NO friggin cats in the pipe.

The quiet baffles are only 2-3db's quieter than stock - the biggest difference is the deeper tones you get when they are installed
They sux to install as you need to take the heat shields off to switch them out - I ended up taking the heat shields off - then played between the two - listening to both before leaving the QB in....

Drill holes in your heat shields so you can change baffles easily in the future. If using quiet baffles you will have to re-wrap them at some point
