Made a deal with a friend to pick up his old bike as a project...

What did you do to your Dyna today?-bebfbehh.jpg

Either a 97 or 98, forget right now. Car cut him off. Just needs new fork tubes, front fender, a little TLC and I'll have a clean little Evo added to the stable...should be at my house this weekend.

Oh those fork tubes. Been there, for sure. They do need a bit of TLC. Bet it will be a great bike with a few parts thrown at it. Post pics when done, or during build. tp

Reminded of the time I started riding up over the pass in Proctorsville Gulf, VT, and found myself behind a truck- flashers going, clouds of smoke, and making all of 10mph.

I think those were a '99 only anomaly. I bought a "2002" FLST wheel on ebay & since it had what appeared to be the newer cast hub in the pics, I never questioned it. Took the wheel to the dealer to put fresh bearings in it when I built the FL forks for my '02 FXD, only to find out it was a '99. A non-issue, really. Had to buy a '84-'99 brake rotor & since I was using FXST trees with FLST legs, I was going to have to have wheel spacers machined to fit, anyway.
