Took a ride to the dealer to look at the '18 Softails. There's been plenty said about them already so I won't add much other than I'm less a fan of them in person than I was when I first saw pictures. I'm sure they ride great and there's a few cool features, but aesthetically they really don't do anything for me.
Way more interesting was this '27 Harley I saw at a local hot rod show. He rode it there with his girlfriend perched way up on the passenger seat. It started on fire on the way there (the white canister on the ground is a fire extinguisher) but other than the burn on the rear of half of the tank, nothing too catastrophic. Very cool bike.
Put a couple hundred miles on the LRS with my brother on his FXR.
Plan on dropping a new blacked out 111" S&S in his FXR next weekend.
I've got a pile of parts started for my bike's winter makeover. Inverted front end, bars, custom wheels, custom rotors, chain drive with custom sprocket, Brembo calipers, Magnum Shielding lines, new air cleaner, crankcase vent, LED turn signals and a couple other things. I'm loving the weather, but want to start on the rebuild!
Ha! The new bikes are all junk. Getting rid of the dyna will be the downfall of Harley again. They have already been bankrupt and bailed out once. This will be the second coming for them. I'll be laughing the whole time while you corporate dick smokers swing by Harley's ******* and it's one big flop. I wouldn't take one of the metric copied piles of **** if it was given to me.
I have a 2017 Low Rider S, which has a cafe fairing. I want a quick release windshield for long rides but cant figure out what would fit/ serve the purpose of deflecting the bugs etc. Any ideas? Do I have to remove the cafe fairing each time I want to put a low rider windshield on? Thanks for the help!
Put around 200 miles on the new tires today. Beautiful ride and weather but forgot how cold 60 degrees can be. Warmed up quick though. Really great ride.

You need to ride the 2018 Fat Bob. It's amazing on performance. The colored muffler and odd-azz speedometer makes me puke. I'll get one in 2020 after all the kinks are fixed/easily modded.
