What did you do to your Dyna today?

Super sore today so I just rested. I did set myself a reminder to call the powdercoaters tomorrow. They've had my rear brake parts for over a month. I told them I wasn't in a hurry, but damn.

I rode mine the 52 miles to work and I am sitting here eagerly anticipating the 52 miles home.
I always have a much more enjoyable day at work when I get to come on the bike. Doesn't feel like my day is bookended with a commute but just a pleasant ride

First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who makes this site possible, I've found countless tips and tricks and info on here that is hard to find anywhere else. I was a long time Sportster owner and just recently upgraded to a 2017 WG with the 103 HO engine and love the bike. I haven't done a whole lot to it yet, but one change I did make yesterday was to change my exhaust.....unlike 99% of people though, I didn't want a loud exhaust, I just wanted to change the Tommy Gun style exhaust that comes on the WG, mostly because it was burning the hell out of my leg! It also sat directly under the intake, which on my bike is a stage 1 style open filter, so it just sucked in the hot air from the exhaust. I toyed around with a whole new system of V&H long, because they have a crossover that maintains some of the torque I like in my bike, but the cost and extra noise was just a little too much. So, in case anyone else out there is in the same situation, do what I did and pick up a cheap set of Street Bob take-offs and install them on the WG....looks are much better, the exhaust is away from your leg and intake, plus the sound of the Street Bob exhaust on a 103 HO WG is REALLY nice compared to the Tommy Gun style....not too loud, but gives a really nice rumble instead of the humming sewing machine sound. You'll need a front mounting bracket and couple bolts, plus mounting clamps, if they don't already come on the set of take-offs....but all in, it's only $30 or $40. I got a new, never used set of 2016 SB pipes for $100.

Finally rolling with my "new" bars (That I actually bought 6 months before I bought the bike).
Fitted the following
Also while she was apart:
I'm really happy with how it fits me now. I may move the bars back a smudge but am keen to get a few hundred kilometres on it next week before a road trip to Robe SA next weekend.
I'm so glad I went with the Chrome braided lines over black on black (with some more black) as they really 'pop' in the sunshine and with the colour combination (and my WG rear fender) it will look sweet.
Next (In no particular Order):
WG fender swap
PC the wheels
New brake rotors
Led headlights
Fitted the following
- Wild1 Chubby Outlawz 14"
- Wild1 Risers
- HD Black fork dust covers
- Chrome Braided lines
- Joker machine rat eye signals
Also while she was apart:
- Replaced the brake switch
- New head stem bearings
- New exhaust gaskets
- Heavier fork oil and some more preload

Nice looking bike! Did you do the bars yourself? If so, have any issues with the ABS and bleeding?
