Overcame a major stumbling block that I had recently encountered during the upgrading of my Power Vision to Target Tune. In preparation for installing the wide band O2 sensors I had attempted to remove the caps on the 18mm bungs on my less than year old D&D Fat Cat exhaust. While the stock O2 sensors and rear 18mm cap loosened easily, the front cap was stuck and no luck getting it to budge. Finally today one of the mechanics from work stopped by with his induction heater. Within about 1 minute the cap was off and threads are all in great shape. Can't say enough good about these heaters. My friend's was a different one than in this video but worked the same:

[Edit] Here's a clip of the identical one that we used:

Removed highway pegs that I don't use at all and (hopefully) fixed a primary oil leak at the tower gasket that was leaking at the shift lever shaft.

Waiting on 5/16 oetiker clamps to repair it.

Today I am going to put the 1" lowering kit back on, replace the cracked upper shock chrome cover, and put on the new front foot peg circlips. When I removed the foot pegs to paint the brackets one of the circlips went flying and landed in an alternate universe-so I ordered a new set.

Well, I just got my FXDF, so nothing too sexy, but I did add the detachable mount points and covers. I'll be getting a luggage rack and sissy bar for when my wife is riding with me, but still need up upgrade the seat first...

You didn't pay close enough attention to my thread apparently...just glad I'm not the only one who's made that mistake.

Burned a couple of tanks of gas today on the FXDL. A friend here in the Raleigh area and I took back roads to the Blue Ridge Parkway in Southern Virginia, US 58 East into Patrick County VA, then to Hanging Rock NC and back home. Perfect weather, fantastic scenery. Not a bad way to spend a Sunday.

Yep, sorry, I had to get them off the phone. I'll say this, those detachables covers are pretty impressive. I wasn't expecting the magnets to be as strong as they are.

The stock fender

Detachables mounted

Covers installed
